Working Principle

The acoustic-magnetic synchronization method determines fault points by comparing the time difference between electromagnetic and acoustic signals. When high-voltage discharge occurs at the fault point, the electromagnetic signal propagates near-instantaneously while sound travels at a much slower speed. By detecting this time difference as the sensor moves along the cable path, the instrument identifies the exact fault location at the point with the smallest time difference value. BNR technology effectively filters out ambient noise, ensuring reliable detection even in challenging field environments.
