Cable withstand voltage test is divided into power frequency withstand voltage test and DC withstand voltage test. These two tests are the main methods to test the overvoltage tolerance of electrical appliances, electrical equipment, electrical devices and electrical lines.

The DC withstand voltage test of the cable is 4 times the rated voltage and the time is 1 minute. Therefore, the DC withstand voltage test voltage of 10kV cable is 40kV; the AC power frequency withstand voltage test is a destructive test, and its voltage is 2.5 times the rated voltage and the time is 1 minute. Therefore, the AC power frequency withstand voltage test voltage is 25kV.

The test voltage of the cable power frequency withstand voltage test is two to several times the rated voltage of the test equipment, and shall not be less than 1000V; the pressurization time is not necessarily different for different main insulation media, 1 minute for equipment with main insulation of porcelain and liquid, 5 minutes for equipment with organic solid, 3 minutes for voltage transformer, and 10 minutes for oil-immersed power cable.

The DC withstand voltage test can draw the leakage current-voltage characteristic curve through the leakage current value at different test voltages. By conducting a withstand voltage test on electrical equipment, local defects, moisture and aging of insulation can be found.

The DC high-voltage generator uses PWM pulse width modulation technology and high-power IGBT devices, and adopts special shielding, isolation and grounding measures according to the electromagnetic compatibility theory, so that high-quality, portable, and large-capacity rated voltage discharge can be achieved in the DC high-voltage test, which complies with the electromagnetic compatibility principle.

The variable frequency resonance test device uses the method of adjusting the power supply frequency to make the reactor resonate with the test capacitor, and the test product obtains high voltage and high current. It has multiple working modes and is easy to operate. At the same time, it uses 220V or 380V single-phase power supply, which is convenient for on-site power supply.
