Medium-high-voltage cables: Cables with voltage ratings of 6kV and above, and 35kV and below

High-voltage cables: Cables with voltage ratings of 66kV and above

Power cable classification by insulation dielectric:

Oil-impregnated paper-based cables: Mostly medium-high-voltage cables

Non-drip paper-based cables: Mostly medium-high-voltage cables

Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE)-based cables: Mostly medium-high-voltage and high-voltage cables

Other rubber-plastic-based cables: Mostly medium-high-voltage and low-voltage cables
