Power cables are widely used in electrical engineering. Their structure mainly consists of three parts, namely the core, insulation layer and protective layer. The protective layer is divided into inner protective layer and outer protective layer.
Commonly used power cables can be classified according to the core material and insulation material. According to the core material, they can be divided into copper core and aluminum core; according to the insulation material used, they can be divided into polyvinyl chloride insulated power cables, cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cables, rubber insulated power cables and paper insulated power cables.
In addition, it should be noted that the ambient temperature of cables with polyvinyl chloride insulation or polyvinyl chloride sheath should not be lower than 0℃ during installation.
