Working Principle
The DC high voltage power supply is powered by AC 220V and outputs 28kV DC voltage. It is generally used as an impulse high voltage power supply for fault detection of power cables with a voltage level of 35kV and below. The high-voltage pulse signal is generated by an external high-voltage capacitor and sphere gap, so that the breakdown discharge of the fault point of the cable is carried out.
Application
The DC high voltage power supply in the figure below is connected to a 15kV 4μF three-column capacitor.
