High Voltage Surge Generator | Trolley Cable Thumper | XHHV535-4T

The XHHV535-4T trolley high voltage surge generator is mainly used for underground cable fault testing of voltage levels of 35kV and below; it can also be used for DC withstand voltage tests of other electrical equipment.

The device integrates a DC high-voltage source, an energy storage capacitor, a discharge ball device, an automatic discharge device and a voltage level switching device into one cabinet. It adopts high-precision, high-stability special high-voltage electronic components and high-frequency high-voltage technology, making the overall structure simple and reliable. The instrument fully meets the requirements of DL/T846-2016 "General Technical Conditions for High-Voltage Test Equipment" and DL/T474-2017 "Implementation Guidelines for Field Insulation Tests".

Working Principle and Test Modes

After selecting the function switch and the voltage gear switch, press the start button to perform high-voltage boosting; the energy storage capacitor is charged until the discharge ball gap breaks down, and a high-voltage, high-energy pulse is applied to the cable under test to burn down the fault point or trigger flashover for waveform sampling. Three test modes cover different on-site requirements:
