The XHGG501B Cable Fault Pre-Locator is a comprehensive TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer) based diagnostic instrument designed for measuring low-resistance, short-circuit, open-circuit, high-resistance leakage and high-resistance flashover faults on power cables, high-frequency coaxial cables, telephone cables, street light cables and buried wires across various cross-sections and media types. It combines fault distance measurement, fault location, propagation speed testing, cable path tracing and burial depth detection in a single integrated platform.

Equipped with a 5.7-inch industrial LCD and a built-in micro printer, the XHGG501B captures and prints test waveforms and analysis reports on-site without requiring a PC. Its 100MHz sampling rate and 0.5m minimum resolution ensure precise fault pre-location, while support for low-voltage pulse, high-voltage flashover, and acoustic-magnetic synchronization methods makes it adaptable to virtually all cable fault types encountered in field operations.
