Combining burn-through and intelligent bridging capabilities, the Cable Fault Location Intelligent Bridge is engineered for high-demand cable systems. Its 60kV/600mA burn mode quickly reduces high-resistance faults to low-resistance, while the 600mA intelligent bridge ensures precise location. Ideal for high-voltage, large-section, long complex cables (e.g., GIS-terminal cables and cross-interconnected setups), it delivers fast fault location without needing to disconnect GIS switches or short-circuit cross interconnections—streamlining operations for complex installations.

Technical Features

The equipment adopts switching power supply to form high voltage constant current source, high voltage and stable current.

The bridge detection module is integrated with a large LCD screen display at high potential.

The operating button on the panel is at ground potential and the bridge is operated through the insulation rod.

The special custom-made four-core high-voltage measuring cable with shield, the copper mesh braided shield layer is reliably grounded and safe to use. The four - end resistance measurement method avoids the error of lead resistance.

The high voltage constant current source and bridge are integrated in a portable pull rod plastic box. High voltage, light weight, easy to operate

Fault pre-positioning

When using the bridge method, cross section method or intelligent voltage method for positioning, if the current is less than 20mA or the current is unstable, the positioning should be terminated. Use the equipment burn-through mode to burn high-resistance faults into low-resistance faults, and the current is stable, and then pre-position.

I’ve been running the XHZS506YS out in Phoenix, AZ. One of our guys nearly got burned bad because he didn’t verify if the buried cable was energized. This thing’s live‑voltage alert saved us from a serious safety incident. Fault pinpointing is quick, holds up great in the brutal desert heat. Keeps our crew protected and slashes troubleshooting time. Absolute must‑have tool for every field tech on our team.

Ο εντοπιστής σφαλμάτων XHDD503C+ δουλεύει πολύ καλά για την ιδιωτική μας ομάδα. Βρήκαμε γρήγορα βλάβη σε υπόγειο καλώδιο στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Έχει μεγάλη ακρίβεια, αντέχει τις δύσκολες συνθήκες στο πεδίο και μας μείωσε πολύ τις εκσκαφές. Το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα!
