Integrating a micro-moisture meter, a purity tester and a decomposition product analyzer into a single unit, this device combines the functions that previously required three separate instruments. A single on-site measurement enables the testing of three indicators, which significantly reduces gas consumption for the equipment, cutting gas usage by two-thirds per measurement and boosting work efficiency substantially.

Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) is the preferred insulating and arc-extinguishing medium for high-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, gas-insulated switchgear and gas-insulated lines. The quality of the gas determines the reliability of the equipment: excessive moisture causes condensation and flashover, low purity weakens insulation, and decomposition products reveal internal discharge and arcing activity. Purity

Purity close to the rated value confirms the insulation and arc-extinguishing capability of the gas. A noticeable purity drop indicates contamination or leakage, and the gas should be topped up or treated before the equipment is returned to full service.

Decomposition products

Low and stable H2S, SO2 and CO values mean no significant discharge activity. Rising SO2 and H2S values indicate internal arcing or partial discharge and call for internal inspection; rising CO indicates decomposition of organic materials such as seals and insulation.
