Product Description

15W High-Power Transmitter with 20 Cable Pre-Calibration. The XHGX507C is the most advanced underground cable and pipeline locator in its class — 11 active detection frequencies, 20 cable simultaneous identification, and 20km effective range in a single integrated system.

The XHGX507C Multifunction Underground Cable Pipeline Locator is a professional-grade detection system combining a 15W high-power transmitter with a precision receiver for accurate cable and pipeline path tracing, burial depth measurement, and intelligent cable identification. Supporting three signal injection methods — direct connection (up to 20km), coupling clamp, and induction — the system adapts to any field scenario from live cable identification to passive detection of existing utilities. Its 11 active detection frequencies (640Hz through 197kHz) and flexible Rogowski coil identification clamp enable simultaneous pre-calibration of up to 20 cables at the transmitter end, with instant identification at the remote end. The A-frame ground fault detection module (optional) extends the system from utility locating to complete pipeline fault diagnostics.

20 Cable Pre-Calibration — The Field Efficiency Breakthrough

Conventional locators require a separate trip between the transmitter and the remote end for each cable to be identified. On multi-cable job sites — common in utility corridors, substations, and urban street lighting networks — this means hours of back-and-forth walking, battery changes, and the real risk of misidentifying cables that look similar in crowded trenches.

The XHGX507C eliminates this bottleneck. The transmitter allows operators to pre-calibrate up to 20 cables in a single setup session. Walk to the remote end once, and identify each cable in sequence — the receiver displays a checkmark for correctly identified cables and a cross mark for non-target cables. One trip, 20 cables identified. Field time reduced by up to 90% on multi-cable projects.

Key Features
  • 15W High-Power Output, 9 Levels Adjustable: Full autoranging impedance matching delivers maximum signal across varying soil conditions. Direct connection reaches 20km; coupling method reaches 10km. Even deep-buried and large-diameter pipelines return clean, stable signals.
  • 11 Active Detection Frequencies (640Hz–197kHz): Switch frequencies on the fly to isolate the target line from adjacent utilities. Higher frequencies for shallow, congested areas; lower frequencies for deep, long-distance tracing. Also supports passive 50Hz/60Hz power frequency and RF band detection.
  • 360-Degree Wire Cruise Mode: Continuously displays pipeline path direction, burial depth, current, and relative position in real time on the receiver's 4.3-inch touch LCD. Operators with zero prior experience can trace pipelines accurately without training.
  • Signal Distortion Measurement: Simultaneously displays peak and trough waveforms. In clean signal conditions, peak and trough positions align — any deviation immediately flags interference from adjacent utilities, preventing false tracing and costly excavation errors.
  • Ultra-Narrowband Digital Filtering: Effectively suppresses power-frequency and harmonic interference from nearby live cables. Anti-interference indicator turns red when signal integrity is compromised — operators never act on unreliable data.
  • Current Direction Analysis: On select frequencies (640Hz–3.20kHz), the receiver analyzes current phase to distinguish the target pipeline from parallel lines sharing the same trench — eliminating the most common cause of tracing errors in utility corridors.
  • A-Frame Ground Fault Pinpointing (Optional): Pinpoints insulation damage on pipelines with directional arrow guidance toward the fault. Essential for preventive maintenance crews and emergency pipeline repair teams.
  • Three Signal Injection Methods: Direct connection (strongest signal, up to 20km), coupling clamp (non-contact, ideal for live cables), and induction (no physical connection required, suitable for shallow tracing under 2m).
  • Sunlight-Readable Touch Displays: 4.3-inch capacitive touch LCD on the receiver with real-time depth, current, and path display. 5-inch touch LCD on the transmitter for full parameter configuration. Both screens remain clear under direct sunlight.
  • Complete Field Kit: Includes transmitter, receiver, transmitter coupling clamp (125mm), flexible identification clamp — Rogowski coil (200mm), direct-connection test leads (3m), charger (100-240V), and exported wooden case with pressure-resistant toolbox design.

The XHGG502 tester works flawlessly for indoor building wiring jobs. It quickly located hidden cable faults inside Warsaw’s Złota 44 high-rise. Compact, precise amid tangled inter-floor wires and saves us tons of repair time.

Absolute workhorse for our utility crew,I’ve used this cable fault tester on underground power lines across Ohio suburbs for four months straight. Last Tuesday, we located a water-soaked cable short under a residential driveway in Columbus; it pinpointed the fault within 3 feet. It blocks signal interference perfectly amid dense parallel power lines in neighborhood subdivisions. The heavy-duty shell survives bouncing around our work trucks, and the battery stays charged through full field shifts. It slashes our digging hours and never fails on emergency service calls.

The XHDD503C is hands down the best fault locator we’ve used in Austin, Texas. It’s shockingly precise on commercial lot faults, super durable for daily field work and drastically cuts our excavation headaches. Worth every penny for our utility crew.
