Product Description
Three-Phase Transformer DC Winding Resistance Tester| XHZ1320

The DC resistance of a transformer is a must-test item for semi-finished products, finished products factory testing, installation, handover testing and preventive testing of the power department in transformer manufacturing. It can effectively detect material selection, welding, loose connection parts, missing strands, broken wires and other manufacturing defects of the transformer coil, as well as hidden dangers existing after operation. To meet the need for rapid measurement of transformer DC resistance, XZH TEST has developed this new generation XHZ1320 DC winding resistance tester.

The XHZ1320 supports three-phase simultaneous testing (for star-connected windings with a neutral point lead-out) and single-phase testing. It adopts a 5.7 inch large LCD display with clear English menu prompts, easy and intuitive operation. The complete back-EMF protection and automatic discharge functions ensure the safety of equipment and operators. With a wide applicable temperature range, high accuracy, shock resistance, anti-interference and portability, it is an ideal instrument for measuring the DC resistance of power transformers.

Applications & Target Audience: The XHZ1320 is positioned as an economical three-phase-capable DC winding resistance tester without magnetizing aid, complementing the higher-end XHZ1320AX magnetizing/degaussing model in the same category. It is engineered for transformer manufacturers performing semi-finished and finished product factory tests, installation and commissioning teams of small and medium transformers, power utility departments carrying out preventive tests of distribution transformers, and maintenance workshops needing fast, reliable and budget-friendly DC resistance measurement.

Wide applicable temperature range, high accuracy, shock resistance, anti-interference and easy portability.
Front Panel & Wiring
IA, IB, IC, Io: current output terminals; UA, UB, UC, Uo: voltage input terminals; the special test leads integrate current and voltage wires into the same test clamp, making wiring simple and convenient;
Connect the four test clamps (yellow, green, red, black) to A, B, C, O of the transformer high voltage side, or a, b, c, o of the low voltage side; if there are only three bushings, the black clamp can be omitted but only single-wire resistance measurement can be selected;
For single-phase transformers, connect the yellow and black clamps to the high or low voltage side and select single-phase resistance measurement;
Keyboard operation with return, confirm, store and select keys, plus up/down and left/right navigation keys; USB interface for U-disk data storage and buzzer for discharge alarm indication;
Power switch with built-in fuse, and dedicated grounding terminal that must be reliably grounded before testing.

FAQ
Q1: What is the XHZ1320 used for?
It measures the DC resistance of transformer windings, a must-test item for semi-finished products, finished product factory testing, installation, handover testing and preventive testing of the power department. It can effectively detect material selection, welding, loose connection parts, missing strands and broken wires of the transformer coil, as well as hidden dangers after operation.
Q2: Does it support three-phase testing?
Yes. For star-connected windings with a neutral point lead-out, the instrument can test the DC resistance of A0, B0 and C0 phases simultaneously with 2 x 10A, 2 x 5A or 2 x 2A output, greatly saving test time. It also supports single-phase testing with 20A, 10A or 2A output, and automatically calculates the three-phase unbalance rate.
Q3: What is the measurement range and accuracy?
Three-phase ranges: 2 x 10A covers 500μΩ ~ 500mΩ, 2 x 5A covers 1mΩ ~ 1Ω, 2 x 2A covers 2.5mΩ ~ 2.5Ω. Single-phase ranges: 20A covers 250μΩ ~ 1Ω, 10A covers 500μΩ ~ 2Ω, 2A covers 2.5mΩ ~ 10Ω. The resolution is 0.1μΩ and the accuracy is ± (0.2% reading + 2 digits).
Q4: How is the transformer connected?
Connect the four test clamps (yellow, green, red, black) to A, B, C, O of the transformer high voltage side or a, b, c, o of the low voltage side. The special test leads integrate current and voltage wires into the same clamp for simple wiring. If there are only three bushings, the black clamp can be omitted but only single-wire resistance measurement can be selected. For single-phase transformers, connect the yellow and black clamps to the high or low voltage side.
Q5: How is the test data stored?
The instrument can permanently store 500 groups of test data, and can also store data via a USB flash drive through the USB interface (please use FAT or FAT32 format and do not remove the flash drive during storage). Test results can be displayed on the 5.7 inch large LCD and printed at any time with the built-in printer.
