In the manufacturing process of power transformer semi-finished and finished products, prior to the commissioning of newly installed transformers, and in accordance with the preventive test regulations issued by the Ministry of Electric Power, testing the turns ratio (or voltage ratio) of operational transformers is mandatory. This test verifies the accuracy of transformer turns ratios, the functionality of tap changers, the presence of inter-turn short circuits, and the feasibility of parallel operation for transformers. Traditional turns ratio bridges suffer from non-intuitive readings and require phase-by-phase measurement. In contrast, the Turns Ratio Tester addresses these limitations with simple, intuitive operation; it incorporates a three-phase precision inverter power supply, enabling rapid testing and high measurement accuracy.


Functional features

(1). The instrument adopts three-phase precision inverter power supply instead of single-phase mains power supply as the measurement voltage, which eliminates the harmonic influence of mains voltage during measurement and makes the measurement more accurate. When the working power supply is a generator, it has no effect.

(2). The three-phase output voltage is adopted to improve the test speed, measure the interphase angle and automatically identify the transformer wiring group 0-11.

(3). It is applicable to a wide variety of transformers, especially for the measurement of Z-type transformer, rectifier transformer, grounding transformer, electric furnace transformer, phase-shifting transformer, balance transformer and other transformers. The measurement parameters are the most comprehensive.

(4). The self-made precision three-phase inverter power supply is adopted, which has high and low voltage reverse connection protection, transformer turn to turn short circuit protection, tap changer opening and closing failure protection, and output full short circuit protection to increase the stability of the instrument.

(5). After inputting the rated parameters, it can automatically measure the transformer ratio, error value and tapping position of the tap changer. Especially for the tap changer with asymmetric tapping, it can also accurately measure the accurate position of the transformer tap changer. It can measure the tap changer with 99 tapping points at most.

(6). It adopts 7-inch high-definition color touch screen LCD with modular display. There are Chinese prompts for each operation step. The instrument operation can be completed only by looking at the LCD prompts without instructions.

(7). The instrument has both print output, USB flash disk interface and RS232 interface, which is convenient for paperless office.

(8). The multi-functional engineering plastic box with cold and temperature resistance, sealing and waterproof, fall and shock resistance is adopted to facilitate field test.
