Product Description
Digital Earth Resistance Tester | Telecom & Railway Grounding Acceptance | XHDJ705

The XHDJ705 digital earth resistance tester is a rugged, portable instrument built for acceptance testing and routine inspection of earthing systems at telecom sites and railway installations. Using precision 3-wire or fast 2-wire measurement over 0.01Ω to 2000Ω, plus an AC earth voltage range up to 600V, it gives infrastructure engineers a single tool to qualify tower earth electrodes, shelter earthing and signal equipment grounds against local code limits.

Target Audience: Telecommunication operators, tower and infrastructure companies, base station installation contractors, and railway signal & traction power departments that must carry out grounding acceptance tests and periodical earthing inspections of communication towers, equipment shelters, base station rooms and signalling equipment locations, with measurable records for handover and audit.

XHDJ705 digital ground resistance tester used for railway signal earthing measurement
Built for Infrastructure Field Teams

Three switched gears (20Ω/200Ω/2000Ω) match typical site earthing values from single electrodes to combined tower earth grids

820Hz, 3mA test signal keeps measurements stable near 50Hz traction and power-frequency interference along railway corridors and in urban telecom sites

AC earth voltage measurement (0-600V, 50Hz) detects unsafe potentials before work begins on towers and shelters

Backlit 4-digit LCD stays legible outdoors on sunny rooftops and in dark equipment rooms

RS232 data output supports generation of digital grounding acceptance records for operators and railway authorities

Battery powered (DC 9V, approx. 300h standby) for day-long inspection routes without a generator

Handheld meter, auxiliary ground rods and test leads packed in a protective carry bag for vehicle travel between sites

Each unit ships with its individual factory test report and 12-month warranty

Factory Test & Calibration Report (Per Unit Delivered)

Every XHDJ705 is calibrated at our Xi'an factory before delivery against a JDB-2 ground resistance meter calibration device (accuracy class 0.05, certificate No. DYQ20241014). The sample report below (instrument Serial No. 30130572, test date 2024-04-07) covers the 20Ω, 200Ω and 2000Ω resistance gears and the AC voltage function. Permissible error in all gears: ±(2%rdg+3dgt). All measured items passed, and the whole-machine conclusion is Qualified. A printed test report accompanies each delivered unit for your acceptance file.

FAQ
Q1: Which teams use this tester in the telecom and railway sectors?
Telecom operators, tower/infrastructure companies, base station installation contractors and railway signal & traction power departments use it for grounding acceptance tests and periodic earthing inspection of towers, shelters, base station rooms and signalling equipment locations.
Q2: How do I verify a tower earth electrode on site?
Drive two auxiliary rods for the precision 3-wire measurement and compare the reading with the earthing limit required by your local code. For a quick routine check where rods cannot be driven, the 2-wire method against a known good earth reference gives a fast indication.
Q3: Will traction or power-frequency interference affect my reading?
The tester measures with an 820Hz signal at 3mA max, well above 50Hz power-frequency noise, so readings stay stable near railways and power equipment. The AC earth voltage function also lets you check interference and stray voltage before measuring.
Q4: Can I record results for acceptance reports?
Yes. The RS232 port uploads measurement data to a PC, so field engineers can build digital grounding acceptance records required for operator handover and railway audits, instead of handwriting values.
Q5: What commercial support do you offer for operator and contractor orders?
MOQ is 1 unit with 5-8 working days delivery for stock items. We support OEM labeling, customized lead sets and framework-order quantities, T/T payment, 12-month warranty, and direct technical support from the Xi'an factory.
