XHXC110 Transformer Demagnetizer is a dedicated instrument for eliminating residual magnetism in large power transformers and instrument transformers after DC resistance or turns ratio testing. Because of the inherent hysteresis of ferromagnetic materials, such tests leave residual magnetism in the transformer core, which saturates the core during energization, generates heavy harmonics in the excitation current, increases reactive power consumption, and may trigger relay protection misoperation. The XHXC110 adopts a patented DC frequency conversion attenuation principle to fully remove this residual magnetism before commissioning, ensuring safe and reliable transformer energization.
Engineered for field commissioning and testing service teams, EPC contractors, transformer manufacturers, and high-voltage test institutes — not just in-house substation operators. At only 5 kg it is easy to carry between sites; its sub-4-minute demagnetization cycles maximize throughput on tight commissioning schedules; and its simplified two-button operation requires no extensive training. The demagnetizing output reuses the current leads already used for DC resistance testing, so field crews avoid re-wiring between test stages and finish commissioning faster.

The XHXC110 applies the DC attenuation frequency conversion method: the demagnetizing current amplitude decreases periodically and its polarity alternates periodically, progressively shrinking the hysteresis loop and mutually cancelling magnetic poles until the residual magnetism is eliminated.
