As key components of power systems, transformers' long-term reliable operation is critical to overall system stability and reliability. Transformer DC resistance testing is mandatory during manufacturing (semi-finished and finished products), installation, handover, and preventive maintenance, enabling detection of manufacturing defects such as coil material and welding problems, loose connections, missing strands, and breaks, as well as operational hazards. To enable rapid DC resistance measurement, this company has developed the Transformer DC Resistance Tester using in-house technology. This new-generation tester integrates the saturable magnetic circuit method, three-phase testing (Yn, Y, and Δ), and degaussing, making it ideal for large and medium power transformers. It features a true-color high-resolution large LCD screen, dual operation of touch control and jog dial, Chinese menu prompts for intuitive use, one-time wiring for all tests, fast speed, high accuracy, and a wide measurement range.

Designed for power sector preventive test teams and transformer handover and acceptance engineers who perform routine DC resistance measurement on distribution transformers (10kV/35kV) and medium-capacity power transformers. With a 20A output and seven single-phase current gears down to <1mA, it covers a measurement range up to 25kΩ, making it ideal for both low-resistance winding verification and high-resistance auxiliary winding measurement. Unlike higher-current testers optimized for large transformer manufacturing QC, this instrument is tailored for field preventive maintenance and handover acceptance testing where portability and wide-range measurement are priorities.
